We're off to Turkey for the next month to visit Alara's other grandparents, Aunties and cousins who are very excited to meet her. We will find out if traveling long distance with a baby is a smart thing to do - but this is just initiation for the toughest job of all I'm told - traveling with a toddler!

Concentrate on packing Mum...
Helping Mum and Dad pack, hopefully there'll be enough room for me!
We spent a lovely afternoon with Honor the other day, strolling the botanic gardens and catching up.

Alara's growing so fast, it's hard to keep up.

Sharing the love!
I absolutely love my bath! I am even pretty brave when it comes to having the water poured over my head - Mum persists on putting me under the shower at every opportunity. But, all good things must come to an end and that's when I get sooooo unhappy and always let the neighbours know when my bath finishes!

These waving things are my hands so I am told...
and I am realising how good they taste!
Just to confuse matters a little bit more - come on guys, I'm only just cottoning on to all these bits that are supposed to mine!
A day in the life of Alara Ercan as she negotiates the rocky road of development - all the twists and turns of eating, sleeping and playing - oh it's a hard life!

The flash of the camera makes her giggle - the infant equivalent of a disco, crank it up!
On your marks...get set...
GO! All Alara wants to do these days is sit up - when you are looking at the ceiling you miss the world passing by.
Cousin Jacqui thoughtfully gave me my first dress to wear - I feel so pretty!
My Dad and me.
This is Mum's first attempt and doing my hair - I'm laughing because she's as good at doing mine as she is at doing her own!

NSW Juvenile Correction Facility
For my Baba's birthday we all went bowling with a few of the guys and of course my best mate Lucho came along to share in the fun.

Just a few of the crew from the Whitewater stadium - I can't remember their names - I'm hopeless just like my mum!
Baba is great at this bowling thing - he's got the style just right. I'm not sure though if style translates into accuracy, luckily I cannot read the scoreboard just yet.
Here I am with Jilly, awake this time so I didn't dream this whole outing! (Who do your think I look like today Aunty Cath?!?)
Lucho saved his Dad's team with his awesome bowling talent. Ready...set...
...bowl! It was a strike!

Lucho told me that he wonders how people can continue on playing when they've been beaten by a 3 year old...
