Time has certainly flown, it's already been six months since Alara came and blessed our lives. Here's some celebratory shots...

Alara enjoys eating food, walks in the park, rolling over and playing with toys. She is looking forward to being able to sit up all by herself and move from one place to the next and can't wait to meet that someone special to share her teddies and pick up all the dropped toys her mother refuses to pick up anymore.
Lucky for us, the mob at Pixi hand out photos for free. Here's freebie number 1, but of course, they do need to make money, so we bought another of all of us together.

I'm not quite as cheap as you all might think...
My mother's group has expanded again and now we are a bunch of 8 with also a few little boys thrown in - finally, some talent for the girlies to fight over!

Most of us (minus 1) enjoying each others company this week at my house. Thank goodness we have enough space at the moment - the benefits of not having any furniture.
There's no better way to end a great day of playing and having fun - a good soak in the bath!

With ever adoring eyes, Alara takes it all in - this is how playing in the bath is done.
Cute Soup.
In true adventure guide style, Sami and Lucho built a zip line. Alara's toys are in for the experience of a lifetime!

How to tie a knot - Step 1...
...and step 2 - ta da!
Angles set, rope taunt, knots tight - 1, 2...
...3! Weeeeeeee!
Lucho came for a sleepover and to play for the day - hooray!

Cute aren't they? Sharing my bed in the morning - at sparrow o'clock mind you. These two chirpy chickies really made my day.
Lucho brought his soccer ball to play with, but as our yard is mid-backyard blitz, it's down to the park we go.
Boys and their soccer - sorry - football.
Alara's enthusiasm for the game is overwhelming.
Time for the swings everyone!
The 'fro is getting harder to contain under Lucho's hat.
Up...
...up...
...and away!
Honor and Luke came out to stay for the weekend, which happened to also be Mother's Day, so we headed up to our local lookout for a squiz and to savour the glorious morning.

Who needs pressies eh? Alara is gift enough.
Me, my buddy Hon and my socks. Love them!
Honor's muse.
The crew.
Boof Head Syndrome.
Note Alara's matching outfit - I am quite sure that wasn't me. This is a side effect from the emancipation of women from the majority share of child care - Dicky Kiddie Fashion.
Daddy and daughter day out - Sami took Alara down to the Regatta Centre for a stroll and a play on the grass.

Lost in thought.
Wondering if she even had the chance to get near the grass...

Just too cute. I've put the only photo of Sami as a baby below, he's about 1 year old, to show that he did in fact get a look in. She's not a mini-me after all!
Just too cute too!!!
Those who have visited our place would know that furniture is noticeably absent, but, recently we have been given a table by someone who felt a little sorry for us. Bless. And, coincidentally, Alara has reached the age to start to enjoy the virtues (and hopefully not vices) of food, glorious food!

The Taste Journey begins!
Getting familiar with eating implements is essential in this process.
Alara's approach so far has been pretty cruisy, she has done well in mastering the basics and keeps most of what we are giving her down. One can only hope her belly tells her head to sleep all night now....
This parenting biz is just so self-indulgent is it not? I may be in my own little world of gush, but I am sure there are a few of you out there who are sharing my joy. I swear, this kid is infectious. Cheers!

If the smile gets any bigger, she'll explode!
"I wuv my whittle, whittle elefanant!" (It does look like that's what she's saying doesn't it?!?)
