On Wednesday we went down to Wollongong to see if Sami could get in a couple of flights...

A few people were up there...
...still looking and wondering what to do.
We just hung out and enjoyed the view...
...and mucked about a bit too.
In the end, the wind changed and it just wasn't on - but it was a lovely little lunch adventure nonetheless.
This week my friend Erin came over to play with me for a couple of hours. I was pretty good at being nice and gentle, even shared my toys a few times. I was so excited to show her all the fun things to do at my house!

Hi everybody! First, the tour...
...then a spot of lunch...
...then a mad dash for the seemingly last toy in the universe...
...now playing together with my favourite toy - the box.
Everyone is happy! Thanks for coming to play Erin!
We thought we might trundle down to the rowing lake to hang out under the shade and enjoy the sunny afternoon...

"Just hanging with the olds"
"Baba thinks himself a bit of a muso - my own taste in music spans the huge collection of both his songs..."
"I've found something quite remarkable..."
"...yep, the taste test confirms it..."
"...it's a piece of bark!"
"What a nice day!"
Where are you La La...?

Peek-a...
...boo!
Ha ha - got ya!
Hee hee, funny...is it on?
...oh...it is?! Ha ha!
This weeks sees the premiere of the "Chi-Chi". Hilarious!

It is hotting up here, the last few days have been super warm so it's t-shirts and shorts time - here's hoping it lasts!

Hi!
All that practice climbing the stairs has paid off!
Na-na-na-na-nah! You can't catch me!
Sigh, where to from here? Everest?!?
We thought a preemptive strike the better way to go regarding our stairs and just as Alara was getting interested we started her in climb school. Next step - going down!

Pretty please...

...can I borrow some hair?
A regular on the S, R and La La blog Honor came out west to visit with her mum Biddy to explore just a little piece of our beautiful Blue Mountains.

At the lesser known lookout for the 3 sisters, Sublime Point.
Alara was more interested in the ground than the view!
Some scenic shots taken by Hon herself...

...such a glorious day, blue skies and sunshine.
Matching outfits by chance - two peas in a pod.
Mother and Daughter Day Out.
A late lunch in the park at Katoomba.
We played games like "food shuffle" and "chase the baby" with "have a banana instead" working a treat.
A fitting end to a lovely day out.
As the year rolls on the first birthday parties are upon us and Sienna from Mothers Group put on a good show for her special day. Unfortunately rain forced us to go underground and thanks to a family friend the party was held in a local biker bar - a marvelous day of contrasts!

The birthday girl herself, Sienna, surrounded by her still grounded friends.
Sienna's mum and dad, Linda and Eddie put on a good show for everyone.
The inflatable princess jumping castle sat well beside the biker bar artwork of the Horseman of the Apocalypse (Love it!)
La La helping herself to the box of fun things instead of the jumping castle. She gave it a try but when you still have issues with standing, jumping is a bit of a stretch.
4 friends from our Mother's Group - a bit of a mission to get them all to stay still and smile for the camera - this is a good as it gets!
La La still tired from being ill earlier in the week takes some time out to recharge.
One could have sworn it were the Dark Ages at our place this week with the flu sweeping through our little population and although there were no dire consequences, anecdotal accounts of near death experiences and feverish hallucinations were recorded.

So, a slow pictorial week was had by all and Alara's only new discovery was that she learnt that her mouth doubles great as an extra hand when going places...
...of course we shout "genius!"
...other's may beg to differ of course.
CONGRATULATIONS MATT AND KARA!

Early on Monday morning our newest family member arrived safe and sound. Meet Jack - cousin to Alara and Lexie and first boy grandbaby on our side.

Everyone....ahhhhh!
