Our Miss La and Sir Sami are off to Turkey this week. They fly out on Monday morning for a near month of family fun in the sun back in the motherland. I will be cooling my heels here, bereft and bankrupt with a load of uni work to complete before my own journey north to Armidale for a study week just before these two suntanned beach babes return.

It pays to have friends in fortunate places - ones with houses near beaches to be precise! We love inviting ourselves over to Dave and Larissa's every now and then in order to have a weekend beach escape!

Navigating the treacherous estuaries to try and find a way across. Larissa was the only one to come away dry - she ran around it completely while the rest of us relied on dodgy tidal estimations, gum boots and river logs.
