We were able to fit in a trip to Avoca Beach before the nomads went traveling to soak up the first beach days of Spring.
La braved the sea with the help of Charlie's wetsuit - she lasted about 5 mins I think.
The Brave British on the other hand are well used to chilly water so there is never any holding back on their part. Christina is also mad into her surf ski at the moment, practicing all her nippers training every chance she gets and doing exceptionally well at braving the waves and improving her skills.
All bathed up and ready for dinner at the end of a busy, fun day. Always love going to the beach - as always, thanks for the fab hospitality Foreman Family!

Ma Ma and Pa stopped in to visit on their way up the coast on their latest trip and their timing was perfect in that I could finish off my thesis in peace while they happily entertained La for the weekend. Here are some more shots taken on Ma Ma's camera to compliment the post already on her blog.

The craft table - La working diligently on her fairy masterpiece - Pa working on take 2 of the ceramic fish molding project. Unfortunately, we had no luck making either plaster methods work. I am currently waiting for a reply from the company, hoping for a replacement - stay tuned...
Ma Ma's new camera getting a work out.

La loves herself a bush walk so off they went, dodging the rain to visit the blue mountains.
BBQ at the cubby with La the perfect host. We had a wonderful time over the weekend, La especially loved being spoilt rotten with time and attention from Ma Ma and Pa. Thanks for all your help - can't wait to see you again as soon as one becomes two in the very near future!

Sami and La set off last Saturday to get themselves to Turkey for one last hurrah before things get ugly and we turn from 3 to 4. I waited patiently on Sunday to hear from them from their layover in Abu Dhabi and imagine my surprise when I Sami calls from Jakarta, Indonesia instead! On a side note - never start a conversation with "Ah, there's been a problem...." especially when it's not been a "real" problem! Anyways, it turns out a passenger required medical attention and the plane was diverted to Jakarta soon after take off from Sydney. The lady in question ended up being fine - mind had she been in the departure lounge with the rest of the put-out passengers she may have really been in trouble. Poor thing! Anyways - two nights later (!) Sami and La finally found themselves on another flight and arrived in Turkey safe and sound - all while suffering a blast of Bali belly (Sami) and blissfully ignorant of the earthquake happenings at their destination. All turned out as well as can be expected considering the delays and they should now be on their way down the coast to Antalya to his parents place. Let's hope they've had their share of transit trauma and it'll be smooth sailing from here on.....
This is where we stand a few days shy of 34 weeks.

Unlike celebrity folk, I've kept my clothes on. I have an online reputation to maintain you know...
Just a few musings from the last week or so, will have to drip feed the posts with my main subject away on holidays...
Sami doing La's hair...
La changing what Sami did to her hair. Don't you remember doing the same thing?
Not sure why these were taken but let's call these "Cornflakes - A Conversation"

La is very used to seeing us glued to our computer screens and is a frequent recipient of the "not now, a bit later" reply (poor diddums) so she gets quite used to doing her own homework a good deal of the time. Lucky she likes to colour in.
