Yay! It's Christmas time! It's Christmas time! December is such a wonderfully fun month and it all begins with putting up the Christmas tree. Here's the run down so far...
The tree and Leyla are arch enemies so we had to elevate and barricade the tree for it's own protection...
 ..."who me?!?"
 "Yes YOU!"
Sienna invited La to come and watch one of her Christmas dance concerts.
All the kids joined in the dancing and La even got to go up on stage.
Alara "graduated" from pre-school in an evening marked with as much pomp and ceremony a bunch of 5 year olds can muster.
A few songs to get things started...
Owing to her first class name, Alara was first to receive her graduation pack.
Well done La!
La still looking tidy...
...for more photos. At the end of the evening, she was decidedly more ragged and sweaty from running about and scoffing supper.
...one last photo with Tayah and Sienna. Everyone is at different schools next year so it's an end of a chapter.
Ready to go to Jill and Morgan's annual Christmas BBQ.
Linda gave Leyla this gorgeous Christmas inspired outfit for this year's festivities.
Percy having a go at the pinata.
Now La's turn.
Gifts for the kiddies were exchanged and everyone got down to the business of playing.
Leyla was long put to bed by this stage but the others were in it for the long haul. Thanks for a great evening Jill and Morgs!
In between the fun stuff is normal stuff of course...
...Leyla contemplating the universe and fruit.
Alara woke up one morning and decided that she wanted to skype Lexie for a chat. Not short of conversation those two...
Now we're in Avoca for a Christmas catch up with the Foremans - we handed the camera to La for the following pics.
Leyla does have a mouth in real life. It's been La La-shopped out.
Clean and ready for dinner after an afternoon at the beach.
Leyla exploring and getting herself into trouble in Christina's room.
Back home the next day reading her new book from the kids. Thanks for a great day Foremans!
Topping off a great month so far with La's pre-school Christmas party. All dressed up and looking lovely.
Lucho was there for the fun as he goes to after school care at the same place.

Not a lot of pics to show you but there was a jumping castle and a mad disco where all the kids did some mad dancing and Father Christmas turned up with party bags for all. It was a great evening and the kids had a blast with all their friends. Thanks Grays Lane for a wonderful year!

Last year we super-sized La's birthday with the addition of Leyla to the November 24 celebrations and for the inaugural year of the Shared Birthday it went extremely well!
The week began with exciting packages in the mail, heralding the occasion.
Ma Ma, Aunty Lou, Toby and Baby Beau made the trek up to help mark the birthday week and this time we made sure that Toby got to drive the fire truck.
It was Leyla's first visit too but the novelty of it really was a little lost on her at this stage.
Aunty Ruth and her neice Tiana came over for a special pre-birthday play on Friday....
...and then it was the big day! Leyla was super excited to get a new box bike!
 The birthday nativity scene!
La and Leyla were very spoilt with fabulous presents from all her cousins - thank you so very much! x
Baba putting together Leyla's bike. Well, Louie did really, talking him through it from start to finish. He'll tell you otherwise but.....
We had a lantern theme for the party.
All clean and ready to go.
 Commemorative Birthday Pic.
Louie did another wonderful job making the cake. La chose the pig and I made awkward heart-shaped cupcakes for Leyla. Heart-shaped in theory - lucky she'll never remember!
First Christina and Charlie arrive for lunch and it's another round of presents...
...La lapping up the attention.
More friends arrive later in the afternoon and the fun and games began for the kids while the rest of us enjoyed good food and good company.

 Singing The Song.

Enjoying dessert and the beautiful balmy evening.
The sparklers, music and glo sticks came out after dark to close proceedings.
Leyla and La had a marvelous day. La looked like she had stumbled in at 5am - torn dress (easy fix), wild hair and coming down from a sugar high. Thank you so much everyone for your lovely gifts, messages and company! x
