This year saw Easter and it's associated fun in a whole new light for one Miss Preschool. From the moment that construction of Easter Hats begun we were headed for a level of excitement that paralleled the arrival of only one other - Father C of course. Don't forget to hop our way Mr Bunny!!
La in her Easter Hat Parade.
La had no problems being on show for the masses.
Afternoon tea of hot cross buns and games followed. This is the egg and spoon race.
On Easter weekend it was my turn to have Lucho and Jill come over for some Easter fun.
We had a go at making some baby chick cup cakes - these are ones I prepared earlier....
....lunch for the La and Lucho was Easter Bunny himself.
Easter craft took up a good part of the afternoon making little egg presents, Easter Egg baskets and...
...window hangings.
Lucho had no trouble finding his inner craft for the day.
Leyla enjoying her little bunny gift sent from Lucho's grandma. An egg hunt followed which I didn't get pics of and we threw in some cryptic clues to mix it up a bit seen as we're all so smart these days.
Easter morning comes round and so did the Easter Bunny!
All smiles.

La had written name tags for everyone. So cute!
Later on in the day after way too much chocolate xox
Hope everyone enjoyed a fun, family filled Easter this year!
Sami loves his little lasses that's for sure. I do wonder, having lived with me quite a number of years, if in fact, he'll be of the same mind in ten or so years? Let's just make the most of the sweetness now I say....
Miss Leyla in her high chair for the very first time. I know, I know, thrilling news, but everyone - my blog, my boring news OK. I love, love complete editorial control!

We have had for at least a year now a tree in our yard that has passed. For a long time we thought it was just having an "off" season (!) but no, she in fact left our world a while ago. So, after putting its removal off for as long as possible fearing an enormous bill (not surprising for me) - we found it was entirely reasonable and set about getting her laid to rest.
 Before. Yep, she's dead.
The team arrived at 11 am and were done and cleaned up exactly 50 minutes later. The A-Team of arborists with the fearless dude up in the tree bringing the branches down one by one and leaving not a mark anywhere.
La now has a "dancing" spot in the yard. It was fascinating to watch them at work. Now, what to put in its place?

As if we didn't need any more evidence that La will turn up at the sound of an envelope opening. He she is amidst the entire family of a friend of mine who turned 30, front and centre, ready for cake! She's a wild one our La xo

La is Leyla's best friend I am told. I don't need any convincing. La is the best big sister a girl could have.
Things we do to amuse ourselves...
 Play hairdressers with Mummy's hair.
 Entertain babies.
Make little dollies like they do on playschool.
Play dress ups. At first glance - firefighter stripper right?! NO. A firefighter who moonlights as a belly dancer. Let's keep it clean folks.
I had been planning a trip to Adelaide to meet the newest arrival of a good friend and as it happened, most of the family were going to be there around the same time so we set it up to holiday together down near the beach.
Breakfast time with Toby and toast.
La super excited to visit with her Ma Ma, Pa and Aunty Laura.
Toby super excited about his toast.
Our little unit looking over West Beach. Unfortunately the weather was not so beach-like, but, there is nothing more magnificent than watching stormy, wintry weather roll in over the ocean when you are snug inside, nice and warm.
Lots of holiday resting involved for everyone.
Lots of holiday treats for everyone too! Thanks Ma Ma!
Honor brought over Mr Flynn for lunch on one day for us to coo over.
He took us all in very calmly and was happy to be passed around.
Such a cutie is our Mr Flynn.
Lots of catching up and engrossing conversation as you can see...
...but loads of laughs as well.
Congratulations Honor and Luke! Loved catching up with you over a couple of days and can't wait to see you all again soon.
Visits from cousin Kristen and dinner with family friends filled our days and to end our trip we went out to Daryl and Isobel's for lunch and Matt and Kara and the boys also dropped in on their way to another gig.
So glad that the planets aligned and we were able to see almost all the family over our stay.
Lots of talk and chat about lots of stuff around the table all afternoon.
Isobel was the perfect host and kept us all fed and worried about the kids enough for everyone else and DOCS combined. Louie is just about to add to the number which just may tip you over the edge Izzy! Thanks everyone for making such a wonderful effort to join us - love a family holiday!!!
