Alara and her class at school have been practicing for weeks for their "Cross the Country" as La calls it. Finally, the day came for everybody to race!
La doing some deep stretches to begin with...
...and still stretching when the start whistle blows!
Sami and Leyla found a little corner of the field to watch the race - and to participate in just a little.
 Or not.
Haven't got a pic of crossing the line, but Alara did very well, ran almost the whole way and came a respectable 3rd! Here she is having a rest afterwards. Well done La on your very first cross country!

Apparently this rated a photo mention....
 ...first Bandaid!
 Leyla was a trooper though...
...with the courage of a lion!!!!!!
Sigh, we have too much time on our hands......

We had a lovely week with Ma Ma and Pa coming to stay - we tried to do a little something most days in between school, sleeps and shopping.
Down for a stroll around Werrington Lakes. A little gem hidden amongst the graffiti and urban decay!!!!
La had a school friend's birthday party to go to, dressed as a favourite character - Fairy Godmother.
 Posing with Pa.
Ma Ma loves a pretty dress and can't resist spoiling her girls! Thanks Ma Ma!
CHEEEEEEEEEESE!!! Don't worry, I know who she takes after.....I wonder if she can still see?!?
 A little more restrained.
The onslaught of love when Baba comes home from work.
Over to Homebush to the mega-aquatic centre for a swim on Sunday afternoon. Thanks for coming to visit Ma Ma and Pa!!!!!! xxxxo

Out the back, hanging out.....just playing...
All dressed up with no where to go!
La's smile is rapidly losing teeth! Two missing now, but things should slow down for a while...
 Leyla is on the hunt...

 ...for Baba's sunnies!
We often question the wisdom of the manual awning and frequently trade winding it in for other, less arm-taxing jobs, "I'll do your dishes if you wind in the awning?!?!?" Example 1057 of when being too cheap comes back to bite you....
La has had a wobbly tooth for a little while now. The new one underneath had also starting to come up so we told La to get wriggling and wobble that tooth out...
...well, she did a little more than that and pulled it out herself, in the middle of class at school! Freaked out Ms Galakas a little with all the blood streaming out of her mouth, but, the tooth was saved and the kids thought it was fab.
La - our little gappy guppy! xx

Life at 15 months....
Favourite chair - hops up, cries to get down, hops up again, climbs up to balance on the arm, gets roused on, cries when taken off, hops up, cries as can't get down........and so it goes on - everyday. Sigh.
 Reading.
 Doing computer work with Baba.
Occasionally dressing up and looking fancy.
The backpack is a favourite at the moment...
...well, more like a favourite for La to put on her I think.
Mustn't forget the school hat. Again, accessories inspired by La.
