We had a lot of fun over Easter as it spun it's way through the school holidays.
First, Alara's Easter Hat Parade at school...
...made all by herself with just a little creative input from me.
Leyla did her best at sitting still watching the parade...
...but she did get a chance to parade later on at home.
Ma Ma and Pa left behind some early Easter treats for us all.
It didn't take very long for them to disappear!
The weekend before Easter we played host to the Foreman's and as well as an Easter theme for the day, we tried our hand at some Turkish pide as well.
It didn't take long for them to disappear as well!
We had the first of our Easter egg hunts for the holidays. The older kids hid eggs for both Leyla and Max to find first...
...some of the finds weren't exactly hidden but they did a great job for the little people nonetheless.
Max not sure what to do with his find...
...mind you, this year Leyla knows exactly what to do!
Hence, the stealing from Max's stash!
Now it was time for the older kids hunt. Sami, Larissa and Dave spent a good little while finding the toughest, most trickiest spots to hide the eggs.
We watched in amusement as they all dashed about "hunting".
I think all but 1 or 2 were found, hidden so expertly not even the adults could re-find them!
 Jam session before dinner.
Easter Sunday and the bunny had been!
Wide-eyed and excited about their treats.
Leyla is much like her mother when it comes to chocolate - no restraint whatsoever.
I didn't stop them from rushing up to Sami to show him their treats while he was still in bed. Ha Ha.
Later on in the day we headed over to Jill and Morgan's for a BBQ and the last of the Easter Egg hunts.
 The Dash for Eggs begins...
Lucho helping Leyla find some little ones...
 Happy Easter!!!
 Shameless selfies from me.
Some Easter holiday fun with a craft kit I'd had in the cupboard for ages.
Leyla giving it a good colouring go...
...and ta da!

I picked up Leyla from Sami one morning and when I glanced into the backseat, I was sure I was looking at a Little Liz Taylor!
So, I couldn't resist the comparison!

Leyla was invited to her very first play date the other day. Her very own friend her own age, not just playing with kids because she's with La or me.
Leyla had her bag packed ready to be collected to go play with her friend Lacey and her brother Cooper.
There weren't any tears at all!

Thanks for the play Lacey! x
Leyla and I were clothing twins the other day. Of course we had to take a photo, it is 2014 after all.
Our computer is down for the moment so I'll use this lack of access to my photo library to show you a few snaps from my phone instead. This weeks installment is La doing her gymnastics which she loves.
The uneven bars.
Not scared at all of having a go.

On the beam in the distance. We're on a winter break from gymnastics while Netball is on but La will start it up again in the spring.
