Time for our winter jaunt down to the farm. We'll see you on the other side of the school holidays! x
We had a little party the other day for Jye's 4th birthday. We dressed up in our dancing duds, collected La from school and went to play the afternoon away!
Yay!!!
A perfect "cake" for Jye - a big, strong dump truck full of fantastic cake pops and chocolates!
Everyone was ready to tuck into the chocolate! Thanks for the great afternoon Linda!
A little post about a few things that have been going on at our place...
Out with the old and in with the new. We had such a great run with the little Mazda, she kept going and going and going. In fact, she never stopped! It's just that she became so loud and rattly that I'm sure our neighbours were tired of knowing our comings and goings that we started to look for a replacement.
And here she is! A sweet little Honda that can fit into your pocket and goes like a rocket!
Leyla and Baba hanging out...
Proud little half and half-er!
Leyla loves having her friend Lacey come to play on some mornings.
Hi!
Alara wanted her hair cut short so we went to the hairdresser and got it sorted.
I've finally given up cutting La's hair (for now)....
...but you're still on my client list Leyla!!!!
It doesn't take long for Mother's Day to come around again (thank goodness). The only request I ever have is that I don't have to do anything - not plan, not think or make anything. And my only request is gratefully obliged. Yay!
Cooked breakfast to start the day...
...with a distinctly Turkish flavour to it!
My present from La from her school's stall...
...thoughtfully matching the one she had got Sami for Father's Day.
Chocolate, home made cards and loom bracelets and the biscuit cutters from Leyla (chosen by La from the stall as well).
A lovely day spent together (with me not doing much!) xxo
We had a Saturday free so we decided to head up to the Blue Mountains Botanical Gardens in Mt Tomah to check out the emerging Autumn colours.

All set to start our walk about the gardens.
View from the the top.
La being a shutterbug.
Where there are trees to climb...
Lovely scenery.
Surrounded by all things immense...
...and precious.
La was in her element running about the place collecting leaves.
A stop for some lunch.
We continued the drive up to Lithgow to have a look about the place and have a play in the parks. This is the Blast Furnace Park that once produced steel at the turn of the century.
The view from Hassens Wall Lookout over the Lithgow Valley.
A nice day out to enjoy the winter approach.
