This year was the first year La got to do all the real athletics activities like shot put, long jump and the running events.
I think we took more video of all the events rather than photos but here's a taste.
Leyla was floating around somewhere too. La had a big cheer squad that day!

We have been lucky enough to have the company of Sami's sister and niece for the last few months. Ferim is spending her "summer" before uni going to English school here in the city. Serpil meanwhile has been our right hand man on the home front, helping out with the girls and spending time with Sami.
 Park Play with Serpil Hala.
Leyla trying to climb like an Alara...
...then the real deal steps it up some more!
 Turkish Breakfast.
We tried to go and do things on the weekends while Ferim was home. Today it was on the train to Auburn for a look about.
A hidden gem - the Auburn Botanical Gardens.
 Peacock.
We're no strangers to the white kangaroo.
Gotta love an emu! We went and enjoyed some fab Turkish grub afterwards in Auburn city centre. Our visitors felt right at home!

We had a night out recently for Linda's birthday down at the local.
 All set for the night.
Linda treated herself by making her own cake (?!)
An amazingly decadent choc raspberry mousse cake - it was delish! Happy Birthday Linda!

By virtue of Sami spending a month working in Dubbo, we took the opportunity to again explore the area for a few days after our QLD trip.
 It may be sunny...
...but by golly was it cold!
La was very excited to go and see Wellington Caves, about half hour from Dubbo. Hard to see but it's a massive cathedral style stalactite.
The tour guide had to fend off a million questions from La.
And Leyla wasn't at all fussed about being stuck under ground.
There were also some very entertaining birds at ground level who chatted back to us.
And a handy little park to play in too.

A great lunch spot at the zoo playground.
The next day Sami is off to work and we're off to the zoo!
We hired some bikes to get around this time...
 ...we stopped for snacks...
 ...a lot!
I won't post too many animal photos as we've been before, but here's a funny looking giraffe!
La took all the photos for this zoo visit and complied an album for show and tell at school.
 Getting to know the fauna.
 Zebra bums.
I dont' know if La jumped the fence for this one!
