Finally! After two rehearsal parties the real day of "one" came. Lucho came over to stay the night before and we all woke up to a day of play, play and more play!
Birthday Brekkie first...
...and then came the presents. Lucho was great at helping Alara unwrap her gifts which included clothes, books and little toys, but the main event was a little guitar just like her Baba's.
A trial run was needed to make sure it worked. It did - Sami even tuned it!
Alara with the inevitable something in her mouth. She's getting so close to walking - you'll have to stay tuned...
Even though Ma Ma and Pa had given Alara her table and chairs earlier, they still sent up a little book for the day - here she is reading it for the first time.

Cheese Please! After lunch we ate my rocks (muffins) that were the birthday cake for this day. I am saving all my talent for a real cake next week at Alara's fourth and final birthday event. Again, stay tuned...

Everyone in for the bouncy, jumpy thingy thing.
Lucho on the slide. We had a marvelous day together, finishing it off with frisbee on the grass and an icecream down the shops. A perfect way to celebrate Alara's first year.
