There were some pics from down on the farm that I forgot to post and were integral to the story of 2012 summer so far. How could I have forgotten to mention these moments?
Nanny Sue came to visit the latest grand addition to the family. Her arrival also coincided with my night of babysitting nearly all the grandkid stock (5 in total) while a local wedding was on. Sue stayed to help me out with dinner, baths and bed - thank you Nanny Sue - you were a lifesaver!!!
Laura made birthday cakes for both Matt and myself - hedgehog for poor, deprived Matt...
...and meringue for sugar-nut me! Laura, you really are a super star!
Toby doing the honours with the candles for Uncle Matt.
Farm duty #31 - Sweeping out Pa's workshop. Next, he'll be getting them to wash the cars every Sunday...
Julz getting her baby fix.
Miss Leyla obliging happily.
This is what Mum's place looks like when we are all about. Mum is usually doing something to do with food, the kids are usually running all over the place, I'm usually looking like I'm about to do something which keeps me from being asked to actually do something....
...and lots of hanging about. We love it!
Ma Ma made Old Pa a wonderful cake for his birthday which we couldn't let go unmarked.
Gather the great-grandies around folks and sing loudly for Old Pa.
For every new baby born to into our happy family we all lodge bets into the Baby Sweep for a bit of sport and healthy competition. For Leyla, Matt came first betting that she would arrive on the 24th. Spot on Matt - congratulations!
Julz came a close second with her weight prediction the closest guess. Well Done Julz! There were a few discussions that night on how the scoring system could be best tinkered with and it was shored up ready for Laura in June. As always full disclosure is required with no insider trading allowed meaning conception dates revealed to help sex predictions, as are prior labour scenarios outlined for best possible judgements to be made for the upcoming birth. No stone is left unturned - lucky for us we have no boundaries!!! Good luck everyone for June! And you too Louie....xo
