Randoms...

We are back from the farm but before we move on to that particular report, thought I would post a couple of pics of my latest decorating feat. I finally settled on an idea for my very bare walls after first getting over my aversion to putting holes in them (those sticky things do not work folks!) and years spent collecting picture frames that would stack up waiting for inspiration. Finally sorted!
Kitchen side wall - white and silver frames. I wasn't at all democratic when it came to choosing what pictures went up so please don't be offended if you are not present. It all had to do with colour, great moments in time and type of frame. Credit goes to either Julz or Kara for taking the picture of the Heinrich men in front of the burning paddock - I stole that from Mum's blog - very apt indeed.....
Finally filling in that wall space. A few adjustments to be made but we are getting there.
The lounge side now. Exactly the same dimensions as the white set of frames but now in wood and red.
The long view. Such a hard space to sort out really. For such a long time I felt that things had just "lined up" along the wall so had to think up and out and create "rooms" within.
This is Nana Heinrich's old chest - recovered once already brightly for toys and I did it again with padding so Dad could put his feet up when he comes to stay. I repainted the base but not convinced of how it works. Am open to ideas!
My brave attempt at wall art. Well, the poor man's version of it anyways! Titled "Turkish Cafe" by a German artist I didn't want to fork out the big bucks to have it mounted so I did it myself. 9mm MDF from Bunnings, some spray adhesive and black paint. Looks really good and was super easy - thanks YTube!

There will be more to come - just waiting to settle on some ideas and for the cash to do it with. It's not everyone's cup of tea - I love my indoor plants as much as I love Jatz and french onion dip! xo

P.S. My lovely little ladies...
