Easter was lots of fun this year filled with family, friends, parades and chocolate!
La made her own Easter hat for her school Easter Hat parade - all her own ideas and construction. I did reinforce it a little myself though to keep it from falling apart.
Leyla super excited and keen to be in the photo that morning before we left for school...
...but we did eventually managed something of the sort.
That's La's teacher at the front - waiting to lead her little class around in the parade.
La was momentarily dismayed I think with some of the luxurious designs around her, but, we were so proud that she made something from the bits and pieces in her craft box and I think she was as well.
Easter morning and look who came to visit!
We had a lovely roast dinner that day with Dave and Larissa, Jill and Morgs and all the kids and of course, an Easter Hunt had to happen!
It didn't take Leyla long to figure it all out!
We had to "encourage" the big kids to leave the more obvious ones for Leyla.
Charlie was swift with his collecting, leaving no stone, or bowl, unturned.
Even though they had a good go at it, we still found a few missed ones in the days afterwards.
La with her haul.
Leyla had been not fussed about Easter eggs really - until we let her have one! My goodness! One was not enough - she made a beeline for the others dividing up the hunt on the floor and it was a mad scramble to keep her sticky fingers away from them all!!!!!
Easter Monday it was Jill and Morgs turn to host their Zim family and we came along for some more fab food. Here's Marley having a cuddle.
La's just getting the idea about who does and doesn't celebrate Easter around the world. Even though it's not their gig, she's still giving Turkey a bit of that Easter love.
Meeting baby Sybella for the first time - sister to Percy and Tunsi.
Leyla roaming around not unlike Stormy at these events. And yes, even picking up random pieces of food and having a nibble.....sigh.
