Rainbow Beach

We are so lucky and fortunate to have holidayed a lot this year already. But, when Sami came home and announced he was on holidays from work earlier than we expected (handy admin error!) and during the school holidays, we wanted to make the most of it and take some time out just for us.
I found an awesome place to rent at an awesome price (naturally) in Rainbow Beach where Sami could fly if the weather was good and we could walk/scooter to almost everywhere as well.
Our mode of transport most of the time.
Little bush walk to the launch site.
Carlo Sandblow where Sami launches his glider. Not today though, wind was going in the wrong direction.
 The Beach.
 At sunset.
Most evenings before dinner we wandered down to the beach to end the day.
Lots of parks to play in.
 Dune sliding.
La was always up for swimming at the beach...
 ...Leyla not so much!
Up early one morning to go to Tin Can Bay and feed the local dolphins.
La having her turn feeding the dolphins their fish breakfast.
After the dolphins, morning tea where they had the skate park to themselves...
 ...and almost the beach too.
Big tides and looking for creepy crawlies.
 Another park.
 Bush walk to Lake Poona.
Family Selfie with Sami's Holiday Beard.

Tin Can Bay Seafood Festival was a favourite outing with good food and a show for the kids.
Leyla's special rainbow dress from Rainbow Beach.
 Library activity making Minions.
It was never too cold for a swim!
Seary's Creek for a wee walk on the boardwalks and a swim.
Leyla super enthused about hopping in...
...as opposed to La who we had trouble getting out.
 Beach morning before we left...
...warm enough for even me to hop in.
Of course La was in and out the whole time.
 Sami was overhead flying about.
 Waiting for him to land...
...spot on. We packed up and then hit the road to come home. Fab time away, fab time together. We love Rainbow Beach!
