Ma Ma and Pa made their way up to us for their annual March visit. We made the most of the last of the warm weather and hit the beach!
We started our day at Stanwell Park lookout where Sami usually jumps off the cliff (he was working on this day though)
Looking south toward Wollongong.
We took the road north through the Royal National Park for a look and stopped at Garie Surf Beach.
Leyla and Pa were content to stay on the sand.
Ma Ma, myself and La hit the waves and brought the sand back in our bathers.
La would of stayed all day if we let her!
Next stop was Bundeena where the beach was much more Leyla's style.
We found ourselves a great little spot for lunch and ice creams.
Leyla was super happy with this destination.
Last stop of the day was Wattamolla Beach - the main attraction which proved very popular.
We spied the jump rock where all the young and courageous (stupid) people were milling about and jumping off and La wanted in on the action.
She settled for the not-so-high jump rock and spent a good part of the next half hour talking herself in and out of jumping. We could only watch and wait from the other side of the inlet as she realised that getting down the way she got up was harder than jumping. Finally she did it!
Then went back again and again and again. Great little challenge for her and a fun day out for all of us.
Back home hanging out - playing cards...
...trying on Old Nana's bling...
...and dressing up to show Pa new outfits.
Off to dinner all shiny and new.
Stay tuned for Part II next week...
