It's Christmas time! We wind things up here before heading back home for the festivities...
Dinner out at the local RSL with Lucho and his family to end the year with good food and good company.
A quick swim on another day while the weather was hot and before Lucho left town...
We also tested out Rosie's swimming skills - good news - she can swim. I'm not sure she's all that happy about the news though.
Leyla drew a Xmas tree for Rosie's room. This is the second one, she ate the first one and as you can see, has had a good go at this one too.
Oh, and we had to improvise our tree this year. I'm sure you can guess why.
Looks lovely though, happy to change things up this year.
The birthday joy keeps rolling in...
Aunty Ruth hand delivered birthday presents from Uncle Nat and Aunty Julz so it was an exciting surprise to come home to...
...and this one has been worn to death ever since! Thanks so much - we love, love, love them!
La had Tay and Sienna over for a sleepover and some belated birthday fun as they weren't able to make it on the actual weekend. La had the great idea to go trampolining so they bounced the afternoon away.

The next day was La's gymnastics display and open house so we trouped over to not only watch, but join in on all the equipment.

It's time for the summer dance concert for Leyla and her dance was as Minnie Mouse with House of Rock. Well done also Leyla on a great year of dancing!
A little home entertainment. La has been going great guns with her ukulele and is now competing with her Baba on who can play something the best haha - I thought music was collaborative?!!?
The day after Super Saturday was Recovery Sunday but seen as La had a skating party to go to...we thought we'd make it an active recovery and all join in too!

And the boys did amazingly well joining in the games and getting quite fast and good in their skates. Leyla and Ma Ma turned up for the last hour or so after classmate's party elsewhere - lucky I had some extra drivers this weekend to make it all happen!
Monday, our last full day together and we thought we'd start off with a child friendly hike to Knapsack Bridge...
...providing everybody sticks to the path that is 😜

Now it's time to go back again and of course we never like to back track.
And, true to form on my part, we got a little lost-ish but made our way down just in time to avoid a mass revolt.
We recovered from our hike at home with some lunch before cooling off at a local pool.
Lucky for us we had it all to ourselves!
The aftermath. Everyone was pooped after a busy, hectic and fun few days with Ma Ma and the Excell's. It's never a dull moment and we wouldn't have it any other way x
