It's always in the back of my mind that on the odd, crazy day that it
snows in the mountains here that we should go and find some. It happened
this year on a Sunday and I thought every man and his dog would be out
and about so I didn't mention it and so we went and found a dog park for
Rosie instead. Then I realised that the road up the mountains wasn't
crazy busy so we made a snap decision to head west instead of head home
and we found all this!!!
La had seen snow before but Leyla has been asking and asking to see some for ages so she was absolutely ecstatic to say the least. We headed up Bell's Line of Road to Lithgow and went up toward Hassan's Lookout to find a spot.
We then thought, what the heck, let's go for gold and head to the snow mecca of the lowlands - Oberon. We stopped off in Hampton on the way in some poor cattle farmer's paddock (we weren't the only ones) to run about in the wind and snow.
Then finally to Oberon, getting in at dusk to see all the snow covered roofs, gardens and cars and we found a park to play in before it got dark.
Such a great day - we love spontaneous adventures!
