It's that time of year again. Birthday Weekend. The troops arrive and the fun begins...
Lou, Steve and the boys arrive with Ma Ma a few days beforehand. La and Leyla get in quick to secure Davy's affections.
He and La become fast friends.
We start the weekend off with a spot of rock climbing on Saturday morning with not only the kids having a go, but Lou and Steve as well. A nice, bonding marital exercise.
La loves this place...
..she's all over it. Coming back to try the spots she's found tricky on previous visits. Little monkey.
But never too busy for her bestie.
Not a lot of pictorial evidence, but later in the day we were invited to Lucho's for an early Xmas BBQ.
Lucho (Jill) always has stacks for the kids to do - slip and slide, slushies and presents just to name a few. Their BBQ's never fail to satisfy.
Sunday. Party Day. Roller Skating Old Skool style. And also on one of the hottest days forecast - 46 C. Lucky the event was scheduled for in the morning.
Davy always has himself a set of wheels...
...and here's La off and skating, working hard at staying upright.
Leyla gave it a red hot go...
...with a very helpful Baba...
...but after a while, it was the chips and drink that kept her happy!

...and he's off! Lucho was out there, skating about as well, I just don't have the photo of it. It's on Louie's camera.
There were games played as well...
...and limbo was one of them.
Time for cake!
The crowd - school friends, good friends and family.
And the day ended with some spectacular water balloon action to beat the heat.
