We spent the second week of the holidays up the coast in Port Macquarie to enjoy the last of the beach days and have a look about.
Town Beach was a walk away...
...of course La was straight in as soon as we unpacked!
Leyla preferred the apartment pool but it was a tad too chilly!
A big skate park nearby and kilometres of paths meant the girls spent a lot of time on their scooters.
Exploring the beaches further north near Crescent Head.
La will play in the surf forever while the rest of us sit on the beach and wait - at least there's some rock pools for Leyla to explore.
Lake Cathie inlet for a swim.
Up to Tacking Point Lighthouse to watch the dolphins surf the waves.
Hard to capture the event in a photo but it was quite captivating to watch.
Fun and games in the rental. Here's Leyla getting creative and playing UNO by herself after she exhausted the rest of us.
We drove out to Bago Maze, an amazing private maze found at a local winery.
It was quite a challenge to complete but a fun way to spend a morning. Kept these two occupied for hours!
Nobby Head.
La was excited to have a surf lesson here at Flynn's Beach.
Funny thing though, after convincing La for days that she won't get eaten by a shark, the beach was shut down half way through her lesson because there were shark sightings! First time in about 15 years or so said the instructor. Funny. Not for La though....haha. Still, she got back in the next day to finish her lesson. Fear conquered (and confirmed!)
The speck above the hill is Sami paragliding. You can almost always expect when we holiday, we go to places you can fly.
This beach was at Bonny Hills.
Making our way home down the coast after the week - lookout at Forster.
A quick lunch stop, another beach Elizabeth Beach about an hour south of Forster and from then on, home.
