Weekend Fun

We were recently invited to a wedding of a friend of Sami's through his rafting connections. I didn't know the couple personally, but was happy to go along for the ride and his plus one. Would be a little strange I guess if he took someone else...
The ceremony was at Freshwater Lookout at McKillop Park near Manly and it was fortunate for Hannah and Paul that the sun was out that day after weeks of nearly non-stop rain.
With Paul the groom - the rafting contingent Sam, Sami and Morgan.
The mood and decor of the wedding was lovely - natives, elegant rustic and the reception was held in the local Italian restaurant, Pilu. Absolutely amazing food, served shared style on each table which was a nice twist on the two-mains option. A wee bit fancy for this gal, I had to google what I was eating - still tasted fab of course and  Sami was in foodie heaven of course!
I didn't get many photos as it really wasn't my show being an absolute outsider and didn't want to elbow out Nana for prime pics. Gorgeous event, location and food, we had a nice day out with friends.

So, while we were out, Leyla and La got to spend the weekend being utterly pampered by Aunty Ruth and Uncle Bill. Aside from lots of treats, park visits and stupendous bubble spa baths, the girls were treated to an excursion to Featherdale Wildlife Park.
They hadn't been there before so it was a lovely surprise for them both.
Feeding time at the zoo was a definite hit and a lot of time was spent doing just that. We are so lucky to have our surrogate family here to help us out when we need it - thanks Bill and Ruth of taking such great care of our girls!
