Still on holidays...Pt 3

And we're still going...
Heading for an evening walk to the Trinity Beach lookout to watch the sunset.
We picked the perfect beach to stay at for sure.
Just a little pictorial reminder of how very anklet-centric these holidays was with shopping expeditions devoted to collecting more for themselves and friends.
The girls and Sami did get on the Skyrail for a morning of what Leyla termed as "so exciting but boring at the same time!"
Little Poser.
Heading down to Cascade Falls for some lunch and a swim for the hardy.
The water was a little cold...
...but La is always willing to get wet.
We waited for the right kind of weather to head out to the reef for the day - to not only get the most out of the day but also in an effort to avoid getting sea sick (me!)
Sitting out back for the ride out to the reef.
A quick stop at Fitzroy Island.
These cool cats ready to hit the snorkels.
We had to warm Leyla up to the task so we started with the kids little fish spot.
I had the job of making being out in the open sea surrounded by loads of fish a "fun thing for Leyla to do". After a few arguments and tears and some epic bribing, Leyla managed to go underwater to see the amazing fish and coral and, was happy and impressed that she managed to do it. I was happy and impressed that the day wasn't just a big expensive boat ride.
This is us being happy. We also went on the submarine coral tour and the glass bottom boat tour and La spent every available minute in the water snorkeling.
Had to use the water slide just once.
A little reef talk about the coral.
Feeding fish out the back of the boat.
Tired but happy after a long day.
One last catch up with Misha for coffee at the markets.
On a mission to the best darn park ever...
...this "park" was visited many times over the 10 days we were here.
Lunch at Machan's Beach before we fly back home.
Of course.
Switched seats for the trip back - no one forgets anything when it comes to "turns" haha. We had a blast, reminiscing about our life here all those years ago. Such a great trip away - can't wait to come back again!
